Yes. Plateworthy's MOT history check is free and needs no signup. It displays the records supplied through a third-party MOT history service.

What does an MOT history show?

Available test results, recorded odometer readings, expiry dates, defect categories and advisories. The official service has car, motorcycle and van test records from 2005 for Great Britain and from 2017 for Northern Ireland. Availability in a particular check depends on the records supplied.

Does the MOT history show write-offs or finance?

No. Write-off, outstanding finance and theft markers come from insurance and finance industry data, which is only in the paid full history report (£4.99).
